| Fried Tofu with Soy Sauce |

Ingredients 4 squares Pureland Firm Tofu Oil for deep frying 125g fresh bean sprouts 4 spring onions (scallions) finely sliced 1/4 cup dark soy sauce 1 tablespoon palm sugar or brown sugar 1 onion roughly chopped 1 teaspoon sambal ulek or 1 fresh chilli, seeded and chopped 1 clove garlic Method Dry tofu on paper towels. Cut each slice into 9 cubes and deep fry in hot oil, taking care not to break the tofu, until browned on all sides. Drain well on paper, then arrange on dish. Spread washed and drained bean sprouts over, then garnish with the spring onions. To make the sauce, put the soy sauce, sugar, onion, sambal or chilli and garlic into the container of and electric blender. Blend until smooth. Spoon sauce over tofu and serve. |
